Description: Stuttgart, G. Siegle, ca. 1929. Oblong folio (25.0 x 35.0 cm). 30 plates, numbered 1-30, each with one to three interior designs printed in colour, including silver and gilt. [AND] Very small oblong folio (8.1 x 14.0 cm). Title leaf, explanatory leaf; leaf with Schwarz- und Weißabmischungen (colour mixes), and 61 sheets of various lengths, each in a in different colour forming a complete spectrum. = An apparently complete suite of colourful interior design illustrations, together with a booklet containing an overview of appropriate colours. Although made following the highest standard of printing, the work is not signed (not even monogrammed) anywhere, except - perhaps - for an indiscernible signature on plate 17. The illustrations are reminiscent of Rudolf Zenker's Farbiger Decken- und Wandschmuck im Geiste Fruhgermanischer Kunst; E. Reinhardt's Prakrische Vorlagenwerk für Dekorationsmaler (Scheider-Henn, 440) and the "Sammelwerk" Farbige Raumkunst (Schneider-Henn, 487). Plate part: slight fraying to the lower right corner of the first plate, one very short tear (< 2 mm) in the top margin of plate 30; a few small, weak marginal spots; otherwise in very good condition. No toning; the colouring bright and bold. Colour booklet: blue smudge on front cover, bleeding into the edge of the next text leaves, and theColour mixes leaf, short tear in the first colour leaf, two black leaves partly faded, otherwise excellent. We found no other copies. Not in Schneider-Henn, Ornament und Dekoration.
