Description: Nürnberg, Bauer & Raspe, [1881]-1885. 4to (28.3 x 22.0 cm). Title pages to the series and the part; 205 pp., 29 [1-25, 15a-15d] lithographed plates of which the majority hand-coloured. Original printed wrappers. = This is the Rissoinidae, Zebinidae and Rissoidae section of the largest and longest-running malacological series, started by Küster in 1837 and abandonned in 1920. This part was written by Heinrich Conrad Weinkauff (1818-1886) and completed just before the author's death. Weinkauff made use of a manuscript by Küster, which was far from completed and was itself based on a manuscript by Schwartz von Mohrenstern. The work is well-illustrated and contains several new species. Wrapper edges a bit frayed and with a few short tear; some soiling and spotting to text page edges, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
