BM(NH). This edition is not mentioned and must be rare. "Quant à nous autres Allemands, soit que nous ayons été arrierés dans la carrière des Sciences par nos guerres et par notre constitution, sois plutôt que la barbarie de notre langage nous empêchât longtemps d'étendre efficacement nos connaissances dans le sein même de notre nation nous sentimes plutôt cette nécessité qu'aucun autre peuple". Eberhard August Wilhelm (Guillaume) von Zimmermann (1743-1815) was a professor and director at the oldest German technical university, the Collegium Carolinium in Braunschweig (Poggendorff).
