The first, The geology and volcanism of the Krakatau group is by C. E. Stehn, and includes, for instance, spectacular photos of the 1928 under water eruptions; Part II "Krakatau's new flora" is by W. M. Docters van Leeuwen, conmtains photos from after the 1883 eruption and in the 1920's, and a list of plants observed; Part III "Krakatau's new fauna" is by K. W. Dammerman, who discusses the possibility of new subspecies arising on the islands, and includes a list of vertebrates, insects, molluscs, etc. Nicely bound for the geologist H. A. Brouwer, with his stamp on the (half?) title. It lacks an indication of a publisher, and place of publication (Batavia?), however, the Fourth Pacific Science Congress, printed on the front board, took place from 16 to 25 May 1929 in Batavia and Bandoeng, Java. Corners slightly bumped, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
