Chromolithographed frontispiece, red and black title page with vignette, xv, 276 pp.; five more lithographed plates of which one in full colour. Contemporary full polished red calf. Spine with five raised, gilt-stippled bands, compartments with gilt title and fly fish vignettes, boards with gilt borders and elaborate gilt dentelles. Marbled endpapers, pictorial flyleaves. Top edge gilt. = A sumptuously bound copy of the "cheap" edition. After the marbled front endpapers, a set of flyleaves with a print by Arthur Rackham (dated '99) is added. On its verso a tiny stamp of Henry Sotheran, London, and a pictorial (maritime) bookplate of a Dutch former private owner, and armorial stamp of the Duke of Rutland or Manners family, "pour y parvenir" neatly on the title, otherwise clean. A very handsome copy.
