Description: Innsbruck, Wagner, 1870. Two parts in one. 8vo (20.8 x 13.7 cm) 71 [46; 25] pp.; two engraved plates. Somewhat later purple buckram with gilt title on the spine. Bluish-green endpapers. Original printed wrappers bound in. = First two (of three) "Decas" (parts), written by the Austrian botanist Anton [Joseph] Kerner [Ritter] von Marilaun (1831-1898). The first part deals with new species from south-central Europe, the second with new species from the Himalaya. It is the only part dealing with plants from this region. With 22 blank leaves bound in the rear. Bookplate and written name (Ronald Smith, 1934) on the front paste-down. Spine and board edges faded, otherwise very good, clean. Rare. Stafleu and Cowan, 3593. Neither in Nissen BBI nor in Pritzel.
