Description: Moskva, Botanical Institute Komarova, 1956-1958. Three volumes in three. 4to (25.5 x 17.2 cm). 915 pp. [100;303;512]; numerous illustrations. Two errata leaves bound in. Original printed wrappers (vol. 1) and quarter cloth over printed boards (vols. II-III). = Divided in three parts. I. The preservation of forests on their northern limit and the problems of tundra's reforestration (with eight contributions); II and III on various topics, including, e.g. the vegetation of the southern Island of Nova Zembla, Kotelny Island and Wrangell Island and on pollen of Arctic plants (with nine, larger contributions). These are the first three of possibly six volumes, published up to 1960. All are rare. In Russian with Latin nomenclature. Library stamps on titles. The first volume a bit damp stained, and the wrappers partly abraded; the other two volumes worn at edges, but generally in good condition. A complete set.
