This is the R A R E O R I G I N A L E D I T I O N, with superior plates. The work was reprinted in 1960 and 1995, but these are inferior, facts usually ignored by book sellers. An uncut copy with the largest possible margins. Tiny label on the spine foot, edges of the wrappers a bit chipped and frayed, larger part missing from the front top outer corner, but text block and plates of this important, comprehensive and attractive book are in very good condition.
