Description: Madrid, Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Fisicas y Naturales, 1928-1960. Three volumes in five. Large 8vo (27.0 x 15.5 cm; first volume slightly smaller). Text with 98 plates (many in colour), numerous text figures. First two volumes in half vellum over pebbled boards. Spines with red morocco label with gilt title; third volume (three parts) in original, near-uniform, printed wrappers. = Rare set on all known Iberian fishes by the eminent Spanish ichtyologist Luis Lozano y Rey (1879-1958). Published under three different titles. The first volume is rare. First two volumes with engraved ichthyological and armorial bookplate of V. Beltran mounted on the front pastedowns. The last volume rebacked. Rarely found complete as not only the first volume is rare but it also took over 30 years to be completed, and the last volume was published after the author's death.
