Written by the Belgian palaeontologist and zoologist Julien Jean Joseph Fraipont (1857-1910). Published in the Musée's Annales. Zoologie, Tome I. Its first description was by Lankester (in 1902) in the Transactions of the Zoological Society with only three plates.
