Uniform half calf over marbled boards. Spines with four raised bands; gilt ornamental lines and title. Patterned endpapers. Speckled edges. = Rare. Von Gümbel is called "the father and founder of Bavarian Geology". A very nice set. The second volume does not have a separate title page, but it seems that no such title was issued. A separately published large map of Bavaria is lacking, as nearly always. Slight shelf wear to edges; otherwise a very good, attractive set.
