Description: Rio de Janeiro, Kosmos, (1944). 4 ll., 228 pp., 1 l. with a printer mark of Livraria Kosmos. Full red goat leather binding. Spine with four raised bands, gilt title and vignette. = The first and only translation in Portugese of the original tdition of of 1845-1846 which was written in French and is now very rare. This annotated translatuin was printed in only 315 copies and is rare too. This copy is numbered 185. However, it is volume 1 with the text only, but a very fine production indeed. Binding with some shelf-wear marks, internally a very good clean copy.
