Printed label on the spine. = A surprisingly rare work, being the third, expanded and improved edition of a work previously pblished as Die besten Tafelbirnen (1871) which in turn was based on a German translation of a French work, published in 1863. All are rare. On the verso of page 249, a three pages list of other Ulmer publications is printed. A very good, clean copy.
