Marbled endpapers. = A rare work on the geology and palaeontology of a part of Romania. Offprint, with new title and page-numbering, from the Mitteilungen des Jahrbuches der königliche Ungarische geolische Anstalt. The plates mainly show Mesozoic ammonites, uncluding some that seems to be new. Due to the quality of the paper the text is a bit browned, and a few leaves, including the title, have the edges reinforced with Japanese paper. Four contemporary handwritten sheets by a former owner (?) bound in at p. 52. Otherwise a very good, clean copy in an attractive binding.
