The author, Guiseppe Meneghini (1811-1889), was a medical doctor, professor of botany at the university of Padua, and later of Mineralogy and Geology in Pisa. This is one of his earlier scientific contributions. A few small, marginal spots on the first leaves. A very good copy. Rare. Pritzel, 6077. Neither in Nissen BBI, nor in Stafleu and Cowan.
