Uniform cloth ringbinders with printed title on the spines. = The introduction to the last Part states "With this fourth acritarch volume, we have compiled accessible published information on 1217 different "species" of acritarchs, tasmanitids and leiospheres, and similar organic-walled, presumably phytoplanktic microfossils" The parts on dinoflagellates contain even more species. Volume numbering is a bit odd. The four dinoflagellate parts are numbered I(1-2), II(1-2); the acritarchs, etc., however, are numbered III(1), IV(2), V(3), and VI(4), so here, the numbering of the individual numbers (in arabic numerals) is continuous, whereas in the dinoflagellate parts it is not. The numbering of the series (in Roman numerals) is, therefore, also inconsistent. A very good, complete clean set. Rarely found complete. Former owner's name or stamp on a few titles; a few corrections and other annotations, but 99% clean. A very good set.
