Contemporary navy blue cloth with gilt title on the spine. Original printed wrappers bound in. = A seldom-seen bound copy of an important monograph of the higher plants of Iceland, including well over 600 different species. In the rear an unnumbered printed leaf with additions and corrections. With on the front pastedown a bookplate of the Swedish botanist and lichenologist Ove Almborn (1914-1992); and his name written in the top margin of the front wrapper. Otherwise nearly "as new".
