Direct from the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD (1906-1973) a noted book collector and diarist. Robert Bridges was a doctor by training and only achieved literary fame later in his life. His main work was poetry which is why his plays were in verse. However, his plays had limited success in comparison to his poetry. In original paper wraps. Externally, generally smart. Some chipping to extremities, particularly to Return of Ulysses. Small spill to front cover of Achilles in Scyros. Small hole to front cover of Humours of The Court. Textblock for Palicio is disbound from covers. Internally, all are firmly bound. Van Gelder watermark to paper.
