Volumes included: Number 2 (1950) Number 3 (1951) Number 9 (1957) Number 10 (1958) Number 11 (1959) Nearly identical in design to the Adventure Annual by the same illustrator, the Buffalo Bill Wild West Annual was the most successful comic/story annual series by T.V. Boardman. Illustrated by Denis McLoughlin the Wild West Annuals were produced almost entirely in England between 1949 and 1961, and featured dozens of text illustrations, decorated maps and paintings in each volume. Denis McLoughlin was a well known British illustrator with a career that touched eight decades. He is best known for his work on British comic books, however he was also famous as having produced over a hundred paperback covers and dust jacket illustrations for pulp publications. In quarter cloth bindings with colour pictorial boards. Externally, smart with some rubbing and bumping, heavier to 1950 and 1959. Hinges strained to all volumes, with 1958 tender. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places, with 1958 tender. Pages generally bright and clean with patches of spotting to some volumes. Pages to 1958 volume are age toned.
