A charming four volumes set of the works of Anglo-Irish writer, Oliver Goldsmith. Featuring a selection of his prose and poetical works, alongside some autobiographical extracts. Oliver Goldsmith, is perhaps best known for his novel 'The Vicar of Wakefield', following the Vicar of a country parish Dr Charles Primrose. His other notable works include his pastoral poem 'The Deserted Village', written in memory of his of his brother. Alongside poetry and prose, Goldsmith turned his hand to theatrical works, his plays include 'The Good-Natur'd Man' and 'She Stoops to Conquer&apos. In full calf binding. Externally worn. Rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, resulting in a small amount of loss. Small scratches to the front and rear boards of each volume. Hinges are strained across each volume, most noticeably to the front and rear hinges of volumes. Due to this strain, alongside cracking to the joint, means front and rear boards of volume I are at risk of becoming detached during posting. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are generally clean, with some slight offsetting, and intermittent spotted. Mild cockling throughout each volume. The odd handling mark, and the occasional pencil mark. Good Only . Ill.: None.
