An interesting collection showing the changes to the directory on three consecutive years and the contrast between the World War II directory and the decade after. With several pages of original publisher's advertisements. In red cloth bindings with gilt detailing. Externally, all volumes very smart with 1944 volume slightly rubbed and fading to spine. Spotting to foredge. 1955 volume with library stamp to foredge. Both 1944 and 1955 volumes are ex library with library bookplate to front pastedowns and library ink stamps throughout.
