In half calf bindings with marbled boards. Preserved in glassine wraps. Externally, rubbing to the spine, joints and extremities. Tiny losses to the spine labels of all volumes. Front joint to volume II is tender with cords showing with the hinge slightly strained but firm. Rear joint is starting but firm with the hinge slightly strained but firm. Front joint to volume III is starting but firm with the hinge slightly strained but firm. Front hinge and joint to volume I has failed with the board detached. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper to volume I. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned with tidemarks to plates of volume I at the top edge.
