Second reprints of the first editions. Set consists of "A Heifer of the Dawn", "A Mine of Faults", "The Decent of the Sun", "An Essence of the Dusk", "A Draught of the Blue", "In the Great God's Hair", "An Incarnation of the Snow", "A Digit of the Moon", and "The Livery of Eve". Bain claimed that his translations where taken from Sanskrit manuscripts given to him by a brahmin. The first of these were "A Digit of the Moon" but as more books appeared, it became clearer that Bain was writing these stories himself, not translating. In original half cloth bindings with paper covered boards and gilt lettering to the spines. Externally, all are generally, smart with light rubbing and fading to the spines.
