The final three volumes were published two years later in 1829 by a different publisher. This is the first edition of these three volumes. With four plates to the rear of volume I. Conrad Malte-Brun was a Dano-French geographer and journalist. This work provides an interesting insight into early nineteenth century geography. In a uniform mottled calf binding. Externally, rubbed to the spines and extremities. Small loss to the head of spines to volumes I and II. Patches of rubbing to the extremities. Rear endpaper to volume II has been removed. Prior owner's inscriptions to the front pastedown. Front endpaper to volume III has been removed. A front and rear endpaper to volume II has been removed. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound.
