The first edition, second impression of this particular work. 'Revolt in 2100 'is partially based upon work by Heinlein originally published in 'Astounding Science Fiction' magazine. The premise of this story is a second American Revolution, which takes place in 2100. The America of 2100 is under the rule of a tyranny of 'psychotechnicians' and 'warrior-priests&apos. It follows the story of a neo-Puritanical Age, when space travel and scientific progress have ceased and fanatics have re-written history. It follows John Lyle and his decision to joint the forbidden, underground movement to destroy the Prophet's regime. Robert A Heinlein was an American science-fiction writer. He was an influential writer and somewhat controversial to the genre of science-fiction in his time. He was one of the first science-fiction authors to break into mainstream magazines such as 'The Saturday Evening Post' and was some of the best selling science-fiction novelists for decades. In original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards and held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with just a very small amount of shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Small bump to top edge of front board also. Dustwrapper is also excellent with very little rubbing to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Wrapper is sunned slightly and is held in an acetate wrap for preservation. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Fine . Ill.: None. Fine/Near Fine.
