With the bookplates of two prior owners, Charlotte Howes and Bryan W J Hall. With an engraved frontispiece and title page. With a biographical account of the author to the preface. This work was said to be modelled on Boyle's Occasional Reflexions on Various Subjects. In a full calf binding with gilt stamping and some tooling to the boards. Externally, sound with patches of slight rubbing to the joints and to the spine. Minor rubbing to the extremities. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Prior owner's bookplate to front pastedown, Charlotte Howes. Another prior owner's bookplate to recto of front endpaper, Bryan W J Hall. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with the odd spots throughout. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
