Red leather spine with gilt vertical title. Blue cloth covered boards with stamped gilt crest on the front. There is a colour illustrated half title page, followed by the black and white frontispiece. There are seventy-one illustrations in total which are a mix of full plate and in text. This book contains a Foreword by the Right Honorable Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Sir Paul Newhall and includes a printed signature. This followed by a list of Acknowledgements and the Contents Pages. There is an Introduction by the Master, Lord Porter, which also includes a printed signature. Chapters are: The First Hundred Years, Towards Incorporation, Quiet Prosperity; Under Scrutiny; Into Education, Salters' Hall in Ruins, Chequered Journery to Fore Street, Joining the Family; Relishing the Fellowship. Raising Money for Charity, A Century of Support for Chemistry Education and To Celebrate 600 Years in 1994. There is also a List of the Masters of the Company, three Appendices, a Bibliography, List of Illustrations and an Index to the rear. Red leather spine with gilt vertical title. Blue cloth covered boards with stamped gilt crest on the front. The binding is tight and firm and both covers are firmly attached. There is some very minor wear to the extremities including bumping to the top of the spine. There is some light scuffing to cloth covers. Internally the book is clean and bright with no obvious marks. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
