James Hervey, was a clergyman and writer, whose work would later had a significant effect on artist William Blake. In a mottled calf binding with gilt detailing. Externally, sound. Some slight wear to the extremities and a few marks to the front the boards. Slight loss to the head of the spine, and joints are starting. Ink inscription to front pastedown, with private ex-library blindstamp to front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with just a few instances of foxing (heavier to the first and last, as usual). Some evidence of past worming. Paper repair to frontispiece. Very Good .
