Throughout his career was also involved in literary pursuits, acting as the editor of the Quarterly Review, and later writing his memoirs. An very scarce work in a attractive leather binding. In a half-mottled-calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, sound, though with some rubbing to the extremities and a few marks. Internally, firmly bound.
