Description: Oxford, Oxford, 1674. Leather. A early religious work by Daniel Brevint, 'Saul and Samuel at Endor', rebound in a lovely leather binding. Includes a full page engraved frontispiece. Daniel Brevint born in Jersey in 1616. He was educated at Protestant University of Saumur, before receiving one of three Oxford University fellowships, created by King Charles I. Eventually Brevint returned to Jersey, after twelve years, and was then ordained. He would eventually serve as the Dean of Lincoln from 1682, up until his death in 1695. Rebound with new endpapers. Externally, very smart. Some minor shelfwear, with no visible wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean and bright, apart from the occasional handling marks and minor brown spot. Copperplate signatures to the title page. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: Unknown. Very Good Indeed .
