Oliver Goldsmith (1730 or 1728-1774) was an Anglo-Irish writer, poet, and physician known for his novel The Vicar of Wakefield, his pastoral poem The Deserted Village and his plays The Good-Natur'd Man and She Stoops to Conquer. In a full roan binding. There is significant wear to the extremities, including bumping with some loss to the leather. The joints are starting and the inner hinges are slightly strained. There are small ink inscriptions on the title pages and front pastedown. The binding is tight and firm. Internally, the pages are clean and bright with the occasional handling mark. Very Good .
