A Discourse published to undeceive the People in point of Tithes, &c. Formerly Printed, and now again Published by Dr. George Hickes, I First edition. With an extensive, unpaginated notice 'To the Reader' to front and with separate title pages to each treatise. There is an addition treatise preceding the other three entitled An Item against Sacriledge: Or, Sundry Queries concerning Tithes. George Hickes (1642 - 1715) was an English divine and scholar. From the antiquarian library of Emeritus Professor David Arthur Pailin, with bookplates to front pastedown inscribed August 1997 in ink and with pencil notes to front blank by Pailin. In a calf binding. Externally, smart but with slight wear to extremities and odd marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound but with much of front free endpaper lost and no paper to pastedowns. Bright but with slight handling marks and offsetting to endpapers, otherwise generally clean throughout and slight evidence of past worming to very front. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
