The Encyclopaedia of Antiquities was Fosbroke's largest work and "the first English publication of its kind" -ODNB. Recently rebacked in cloth, with half calf boards. Externally, rubbed to extremities. The hinges are strained. Internally, firmly bound, with foxing to the plates, first and last few pages, and pages around the plates. The frontis has been laid down.
