Pierce Egan the Younger was son of Pierce Egan the Elder, author of "Tom and Jerry" and other sporting books. Egan the Younger's books were known for being full of murder and passion. He wrote an edition of Robin Hood published in 1840. In a half morocco binding. Externally, sound though a trifle rubbed with bumping to corners and tail of spine. Loss to head of spine.
