Leather bound copies with gilt titles to spines and cloth covered boards. Includes Number XLVI, Volume X part one from January 1907 and Number XXVIII, Volume VII part two from July 1905. The Burlington Magazine is a monthly magazine that covers the fine and decorative arts. Founded in 1903, published in London, it is arguably the most important and prestigious journal of art history published in English. It was launched by a group of art historians and connoisseurs that included Roger Fry, Bernard Berenson and Herbert Horne. Leather bound copies with gilt titles to spines and cloth covered boards. There is some mild wear to the extremities including some rubbing along the hinges and bumping to the corners. The spines are also a little rubbed. The bindings are tight and firm and both covers are firmly attached.
