Description: Edinburgh, James Kay, 1827. Leather. A collection of Scottish songs Pocket sized in a nice full calf binding. Scarce, with no editions of this work on Copac. With the signature and stamp of Arthur Swinbourn of Twickenham to the recto of front endpaper. The editor of this collection is not stated to the title page. The majority of songs to this anthology is in a Scots dialect, titles include 'Tipitywitchet', 'The Rose of Last Summer', 'Smalilou', and 'Oh Sing Zelinda, Sing to Me&apos. In a full calf binding with gilt stamping to the spine. Externally, generally smart with small patches of rubbing to the joints and to the extremities. A few handling marks to boards. Small amount of rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Prior owner's stamp and ink inscription to the recto of front endpaper, Mr A Swinsbourn of Twickenham. Internally, firmly bound.
