Leatherbound volume with gilt title to the spine, marble paper covered boards and marble paper pastedowns. John Galsworthy (14 August 1867—31 January 1933) was an English novelist and playwright. Notable works include The Forsyte Saga (1906—1921) and its sequels, A Modern Comedy and End of the Chapter. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932. In a lovely half calf binding. Externally, very smart. Small amount of wear to the extremities including slight fading to the spine and a small patch of discoloration to the leather at the top of the front board. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the occasional handling marks and the odd spots. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
