Quiney is famous for having penned the only known letter to Shakespeare to survive, a request to his 'Loveinge good ffrend & countreyman' to lend a sum of thirty pounds to pay urgent debts. In a blue cloth binding in the unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart with just some light wear to the head and tail of the spine. Quyny arms in gilt to the front board.
