Benvenuto Cellini was an Italian Goldsmith, sculptor and musician famous for his autobiography and is contribution to the artistic period of Mannerism. In publishers original paper covered boards. Externally, worn with rubbing and bumping. Loss to backstrips of both volumes. Front joint/ hinge failed to volume I with front board held by cords only. All other hinges strained. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places. Pages cockled but generally bright with scattered spots. Fair . Ill.: None. Fair .
