Richard Cromwell was Lord Protector of England, Scotland and Ireland after the death of his father, Oliver Cromwell, in 1658. He lacked authority and was eventually forced to resign and the monarchy was restored in 1660. In brown cloth bindings by 'Edmond & Remnants' London.
