Printings could scarcely keep up with demand, and by 1946 it had sold over 70,000 copies. On 3 June 1929 Bridges was awarded the Order of Merit (DNB) In a quarter-vellum binding. Externally smart, though a little rubbed. Internally, firmly bound. Ink signature dated 1933 to recto of front free-endpaper. Pages have some light foxing to first and last few pages. Very Good .
