Including his 1766 famous rhymed letters, The New Bath Guide or Memoirs of the Blunderhead Family.. a satirical poem of considerable sparkle, about the adventures of the "Blunderhead" family in Bath, from which Tobias Smollett is said to have drawn largely in his The Expedition of Humphry Clinker. With ink annotations to title page. Rebacked in buckram preserving original marbled paper covered boards and original spine label tipped-in to spine. Externally, generally smart but with slight wear to extremities and slight rubbing to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Bright but with occasional scattered spotting, slight tidemarks to frontispiece and the odd handling mark. With institutional ink stamps. Very Good . Ill.: Unamed. Very Good .
