Written during the British Victorian era and a time that America and Canada's colonies were vastly developing due to people from Europe emigrating. The first title, Mrs Jameson's work, depicts her time in Canada. Mrs Jameson was summoned to Canada by her husband, the Court of the Chancery of Upper Canada.
