Direct from the library at Newton Hall, the 18th century country house and estate in Northumberland, with a pencil shelfmark to the front free-endpaper. With a copperplate ink inscription from S. Jacson, possibly S. F. Jacson, who later inherited the name Widdrington. In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the extremities. Minor rubbing to the boards. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. Good Only . Ill.: None. Good Only .
