Written by British medical missionary, author and illustrator, Wilfred Grenfell. A collection of stories surrounding the author's time working as a medical missionary to Newfoundland. Grenfell was sent to Labrador in 1892 to help run a hospital at Indian Harbour, and then became involved in the missions expansion into developing schools, an orphanage, cooperatives and more. Illustrated with a frontispiece. Collated, complete. Bound in the publisher's green cloth. Externally, very good, with light bumping to the extremities and aa few marks to cloth, including a white mark to the front. Fading to the spine and rear board, causing discolouration.
