Previously held in the library of the Laurence family, with notes from a Godfrey Laurence referring to their familial connection to these works as descendants of French Laurence, an English jurist, man of letters, and a close associate of Edmund Burke, whose work is referenced in the text. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd neat pencil annotation.
