Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spines with the odd small mark to the boards. Light sunning to the board edges with a small split to the cloth at the head of the spine of volume two and the rear joint of volume three. Hinges starting but firm to volume one. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Light age toning to the endpapers. Pencil illustrations from a previous owner to the title page and rear endpaper of volume one. A 2" closed tear to the frontispiece of volume three, with a tear to the rear endpaper resulting in loss to the page tip. Good . Ill.: Edgar Norfield. Good .
