Externally, with minimal rubbing to the extremities and marks to the boards. Hinges to 'Old Curiosity Shop' and 'Hard Times' have failed, with text block loose. Rear hinge to 'Christmas Books' and front hinges to 'Oliver Twist' and 'Bleak House' have also failed. Internally, generally firmly bound. With four leaves detached but present to 'Hard Times', one plate detached but present to 'Oliver Twist' and and several leaves at risk of detaching throughout the other volumes.
