Volume three is illustrated with a frontispiece and five plates. Volume four is illustrated with a frontispiece and six plates. Collated complete. A detailed collection of some of the most important poetry from the greatest of French poets of the nineteenth century. Containing works from writers such as: Reynaud, Daudet, Verlaine, Mallarme, Lamartine, Hugo, Baudelaire, and Rimbaud, amongst others. With volume two containing works from 1818 to 1841, volume three containing works from 1842 to 1851, and volume four containing works from 1852 to 1866. Bound in half crushed morocco with marbled boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spines with the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge just starting to volume two. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Light age toning to the endpapers. Tide marks to the first and last few pages of each volume. With the front endpaper of volume two attached to the front pastedown resulting in a small closed tear. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
