Written by George Alfred Henty, English novelist and war correspondent known for his influential work of juvenile adventure and historical fiction, which inspired authors of the likes of Herbert Strang, Henry Everett McNeil, and Percy F. Westerman among others. Illustrated with ten illustrations by William Rainey, and three maps. Collated, complete. Bookplate to front paste down dated 1913.Bound without the publisher's catalogue.
